I don't know if I shared with you that this year Adoley and I are focusing on putting our spirituality first. For me that means making time daily for meditation. I am taking a meditation class to support myself in making this practice a ritual like brushing my teeth. It is challenging for me because it involves sitting still. As a recovering adrenaline addict this can be a challenge. I am very determined to get this because my intention this year is to be open and receptive of the higher vision for my life. So far this year this simple yet profound practice has given me more clarity, better ability to focus on tasks to completion and I feel a greater sense of accomplishment. All from an activity that seemingly is doing nothing but as you know the external events of our lives reflect the degree of our inner well-being. I also have found that more abundance is flowing in probably because I am aware enough to be guided to the opportunities that are always present. Cool, isn't it.
The month of February we are going to focus on the Power of Love and how to give and receive it guilt free.

The Power of Love by: Deborah Deras
Two commuter trains smashed into each other early Wednesday when a suicidal man drove his SUV onto the tracks. He then changed his mind about the suicide but was unable to get the vehicle off the rails. Because of the way it was parked it caused one Metrolink train to crash into the other.
Eleven people died and 200 more were physically injured and emotionally traumatized. In one moment the lives of thousands were forever changed by this senseless tragedy.
I myself don't usually watch the news but I had been facilitating a meeting that morning and many of my attendees were late due to the traffic caused by the accident. I usually meet my father on Wednesday nights but since I had been fighting a cold for the past several weeks I told him the night before I may not be up for meeting that night. Since my Dad did not plan on meeting me he decided to take the Metrolink to work an easier commute from his home in Chatsworth to his job in Downtown Los Angeles. It was not untill 3:30pm that day that I realized the possibility of my Father being on the train that killed 11 and injured 200 people. I was suddenly struck with panic!
